It's always been an entry level brand for young people to dip their toes. Kids care about style more than adults do. 1300 is just inflation prices. Is it a 'good deal'? No. But it's their parents money most of the time anyway. If it were 999 you'd think it was a steal. The market has moved.

Brother, I have to disagree. $1,300 is not an entry level price for any guitar even in 2025.

There are nice squiers for 1/4 that price. Hell you can get an American made fender for around that price. There are pro quality basses half that price from Sire and Ibanez.

This is just a money grab.

If you want to make an entry level instrument accessible to kids and beginners, that's great. But it should cost no more than $500.
