Turned 40 today. Parents didn't remember. Friends called. Wife canceled dinner

Had a bunch of my close friends reach out via text and two of them even called.
Mother in law called too.
Wife made a strawberry shortcake with our boys (my favorite) but made our family cancel dinner plans (she said I could take our 2 older kids if I wanted) because she felt tired and like our youngest was "coming down with something" so she said we should order dinner instead. She just didn't feel like going out at 6:30pm.
The boys made me a bracelet (Best Dad Ever) and she bought me some clothes and socks.
I was a complete asshole to her for canceling dinner and we got in a fight in front of the kids. I was being kind of a bitch about her canceling the dinner because I was looking forward to it. She called my behavior "bitchy" which obviously didn't go over well. |
