It's truly 180 generational shit, my children know several uncles/aunts and have tons of time with their grandparents, but it's only so great because we already moved in and brought the grandchildren everybody wants. I work remote and my SAHW handles everything else. It's a weird mix of old and new, it's only possible because I can be a remotefag from anywhere but other than that I'm basically living in the 1950's. But none of this works if you're showing up in a random village of 15,000 people with no relatives and no reason to be there.
