Accumulating wealth takes things like hard work, prudence, good judgement, humility, honesty with oneself and others, persistence over many years, sacrifice. These things are..... not sexy. Someone who has become rich has often done so by living a frugal life of hard work, and actively avoiding flashy consumption. Signaling wealth means going 180 degrees against the instincts that have gotten such a man to where he is.
How to do it? Remain humble and down to Earth but drop subtle hints in a way that seems matter of fact, like you're just going about your ordinary life.
Residence as I mentioned above is a big one. I also owned a beach house with my mom at the time. The place was a dump that had been in our family for years, but I got a lot of mileage out of it.
Another one that helped me was being on the board of some nonprofits. One was a private school, which seemed to have the biggest effect on chicks. Having a potentially expensive hobby was also good, in my case hunting. Great way to segue into how you own land. Also being able to drop the H bomb or other prestigious school.
That being said, all this stuff was secondary to being a cool alpha guy. That was what got the attention of girls. Being able to casually drop the other stuff without making a big deal about it was sort of like a boost that might get me across the finish line. |
