Back when Karlstack was beefing with groypers, I knew almost nothing about them. I knew about Fuentes and I could tell he was some kind of op, but I knew nothing about these other people with the frog avatars. I figured there weren't enough of them to be worth my time and I paid them no mind.
But after listening to several dozen of them speak for hours in these Twitter spaces, I have a pretty good map of the situation.
The first thing I noticed is, among the prominent voices, at least 50% are, for lack of a better term, "feds." I don't mean they literally work for the US government - some may be independent contractors, or they may work for Palantir or Musk - but they constitute a large part of the organizational structure.
The other thing I noticed is that they're competitive. At one point, I heard two prominent voices accuse each other of inciting other groypers on behalf of the government. One would say "you organized that ADL protest" and the other would say "ok but you organized Charlottesville, at least no one got hurt at the ADL protest." That was the actual discussion for about 10 minutes. The guy who led the ADL protest also bragged about being in the Marines and said he joined because his family has a tradition of serving. C'mon
Anyway the main thing they do is fight and throw accusations at each other. They can do this for 12 hours non-stop.
