It’s interesting how personal injury settlements make clients go insane

Date: August 19th, 2025 11:13 AM Author: scholarship In the last week or so I and another law buddy have settled cases for 3 clients and as soon as they smelled that a settlement check was in the air somewhere, they suddenly had all these emergency purchases come up. Constantly texting “where’s the check,” “I NEED the check for my purchase.” It’s like the same fever people get when they win on a lottery ticket. They just go nuts. Is this universal? He’s panicked because the driver can’t find the door to his apartment and the delivery was guaranteed by noon. He needs the check immediately because a dealership is holding a used porsche for him that he wants to buy with his settlement. I just got off the phone with UPS and they put me on with some Indian who basically couldn’t speak English at all. We were saying the address back to each other in different languages.
