most of the time people cheat, come to their senses, and break it off before any damage is done. it's just that the only time it becomes public knowledge is when it blows up. the fact the subordinate is married and a responsible professional significantly reduces the chances this blows up immediately. usually that happens when the woman is single and wants to become the wife. chances are she also doesn't really want to blow up her life and is just getting off on seducing her boss (a fantasy all women have, another reason they are unsuitable for the workplace). eventually they'll humanize each other and the rush that comes from a new relationship fades as they see each other's faults and their fantasy collapses.

Also, if you get a chance to go through your wife's phone, preemptively block the side chick's number in case she ever does try to tell your wife. She’s pissed today.
Coworker said her husband also has asked her if she needs to consider whether she has a drinking problem because she keeps staying up alone late drinking and talking to me.
Otherwise, she has a friend who claims to be psychic. She sent her a bunch of pictures on my team. She said the feedback for me was not positive but didn’t say much about it. At the end of the night she screenshotted the message and it was her friend saying “Cheater”.
I probably need to cool this down soon before it blows up. Someone at work will notice our vibes even if it isn’t our partners, who for now both just think we’re degenerate alcoholics or something |
