I asked her why she calls him that and she said, "Cuz he walks on the walls and the ceilings, which is silly."
I felt a bit unnerved by that and asked her to describe what Mr. Silly looks like, and she said he has red eyes, "long fingernails," horns on his head, and little faces on his back. I asked her what she meant by "little faces on his back," and she said across his entire back he has all these small screaming faces pushing out of his skin and that these "are the people he's collected."
I felt more unnerved. I asked her if she was scared of Mr. Silly, and she said no because he didn't seem to be angry at her. I asked her if he seemed angry at anyone in the house, and she pointed at me. "Mr. Silly doesn't like you," she said.
I've checked into a hotel for the night and made excuses to the wife. |

I was relieved. But things have started getting a little weird over the last few days. When my wife was out on her "girls night out" I gave the kid some Nyquil and put her to bed. Then I drew a nice relaxing bath for myself and got in. I was resting in it when the lights suddenly went out. The bathroom has no windows and so I was in total darkness. Then I heard what sounded like giggling coming from down the hall. Thinking it was my daughter, I angrily flopped out of the tub, slipped around in the dark, found a towel to wrap around me, and felt my way to my daughter's room to yell at her. But I found her in her bed, still in deep Nyquil sleep. I heard the giggling again, screamed -- and then suddenly the lights came on. I stayed up until my wife came home.
