So the Liverpudlian version of the Four Seasons makes millions selling love songs to teeny boppers, and then they retire from touring and put out multiple avant-garde, industry-transforming records in a row, each track being seminal to a different genre of popular music. I don't buy it. None of the Fab Four did anything that great in his solo career, so where did this transcendent artistic vision go? I'm not denying the Beatles wrote and recorded their music, but something doesn't add up.

Paul was the musical genius and most important member but needed John and George to tame his worst impulses. Once they broke up you got the Wings, etc.

Likewise John and later on George had their own styles but needed Paul to push the music into a more mass-acceptable form. Also by 1970 John's brain was well on its way to being fried by drugs.

Paul died in a car accident in 1966 and was replaced by Billy Shears. MI5 and later CIA were responsible for all Beatles production after that point.

they wrote like 70 hit songs and then were all out of ammo in their 30s? fading out in your 30s is basically standard for musicians.
