It was a combination of non-stop hilarious late night fodder that this Boomer was pounding teen cunnus, and a lot of sanctimonious outrage in DC because he was corrupting the morals of a generation. But the man basically was the early Trump, deny deny deny then get away with it by sheer charisma.

if he was so popular than more people should have voted for him. votes matter more than "approval ratings".

not sure wtf your point with the Perot comment is other than that Clinton, being as unpopular as he was, would probably not have won in 1992 if not for him.

it's a simple question. why did half of the US electorate vote against Bill Clinton if he's as "popular" as you say he was and so many people "approved" of him? he couldn't even crack 50% running against Bob fucking Dole.

"shareblue said it so that must mean it's wrong!" is the epitome of retarded thinking. that doesn't make it any less the actual reason why he did not, in fact, get above 50% of the popular vote. that is actually the singular reason why he didn't get above 50% of the popular vote

and it does nothing to take away your entire line of argument being braindead partisan retard bullshit. you are just looking for anything to point at to distract from clinton very obviously being a popular president by the end of his term. "but then why didn't more people vote for him!" is a red herring

no, other than the move on freaks, the democrats didn't try and make excuses for Clinton's sleaziness and openly acknowledged he was an inveterate pussy hound. They in fact leaned into his scumbag nature.

It felt like it received more sustained coverage and was a treated as a bigger deal and bigger scandal. That's in large part because there was still a lot of faith and pride in the office of the presidency, so a scandalous affair in the oval office was particularly saliacious and disorienting. Could this even be real? How could he? Now, society is divided, people no longer respect our institutions, and a sex trafficking scandal involving at lest two presidents is not only unsurprising, it's expected.

Starr was a decent man but when the details of the Arkansas land deals got confusing Starr kept expanding the inquiry into all sorts of nonsense. yes, Bill committed perjury and yes Bill sexually assaulted women in ways that Trump never did, but the utter lack of judgment by Starr and his team lead to the death of the Special Prosecutor.

Clinton was much more light hearted and entertaining. There we had a President who not only sounded like an Arkansas goober, but who also had a taste for slutty trailer park pussy - Paula Jones was the best. Getting a blowjob from a jewish intern who kept her cum stained blue dress as a souvenir on the advice of her scheming friend was 180. His shrew wife just increased the melodrama. I believe he reportedly said to Monica after jizzing, "I haven't had that in a long time." Every guy in America secretly identified with Bill and wished him well. He managed to keep it going for 18 months. Then he lied about it, saying, "I did not have sex with that woman," which led to accusations that kids were giving and getting more blow jobs because it wasn't "sex." He even got his law license suspended. How can you not love a telenovela like that?

Yeah I was young and didn't realize how much it resonated with all the still relatively young/middle age boomer guys in sexless marriages at the time. Slick Willy was 180.

Yes. That was big news, LOL! For the bort youngsters the story was that Monica stuck it up her pussy then Clinton put it into his mouth and made some comment. I don't know that the comment was ever reported. Seems like it would would be uncomfortable in her cunt. Anyone have experience with that?

What I remember of Clinton was that a sizable number of people, a minority but still sizable, did not like him because they saw in him the epitome of the charismatic two faced high school senior who'd cleverly make everyone look the other way while he got up to no good behind the gym, or if found with his pants down, would charmingly convince people it was actually a good thing and evade punishment (strikingly similar to Gavin Newsom in a sense). That's why he was called Slick Willy. The Republican base in those days were goody two shoes conformists who resented Clinton because he clearly had the fun with his life they never did. That was the origin of the intensity of their hatred for him and it bounced back badly on them when they tried to prosecute him.

Clinton's antics would have had him me-tooed badly 20 years later, but even in the 1990s it still made deep hypocrites out of the feminists of the era.

Gloria Steinem would not mount the same vigorous defence of Bill Clinton today that she offered in a controversial 1998 article that downplayed accusations of harassment against the then president, the feminist icon has told the Guardian.

This. The impeachment was the "Revenge of the Nerds" - here was this Yale/Rhodes Scholar guy who rose through an education meritocracy (not breeding). To make it 10X worse, he was a pot-smoking, draft-dodging pussy hound who banged anything that moved. And he got away with it by just smirking and making some quip. Boiled their fucking blood as dipped his wick in every woman around. The shrew wife made it even more 180

I liked Slick Willy. I met him in Hot Springs when he was first term governor. I thought he had promise. I had an AR lawlyer friend (now deceased) who told me lots of Clinton stories related to him by the state highway patrol. They would drop Bill off so he could fuck some chick, then when Hillary started looking for him they would page him and come pick him up (pre cell days). Bill and Hillary's fights were legendary even then. I heard from DC friends that when in the White House she used to scream "Motherfucker" at him a lot, and I bet he did some of that, too.
