In the 1870 U.S. Census, Idaho Territory had a total population of about 14,999 people.
Out of that, the census recorded roughly 4,274 Chinese residents (almost all male, mostly miners and railroad/industry laborers). That means nearly 28% of Idaho’s population in 1870 was Chinese — one of the highest proportions in the U.S. at that time.
They were concentrated in mining towns (Boise Basin, Warren, Pierce, Orofino, and around Lewiston) and later in service work (laundries, cooking, farming).

Like the whole NW was full of chinks working in mines and building railroads etc, what are now sleepy little towns had their own chinatowns and stuff back then, but since it was almost all men they left zero legacy cause women won't sleep with chinese males.
The japs though came here around the early 1900s as farmworkers and saved up and bought their own farms and orchards, many of the 3rd gen married white chicks somehow, now they are up to 5th and 6th gen and you can meet people with Jap last names who don't look azn at all. Like I used to have a girl I'd fool with in 8th grade whose last name was Matsushita she was a blue eyed blonde mega birdshit |

pretty well integrated tbh they're basically white, which i mean japanese are already aryan anyway so i guess it's not surprising |
