It's against the law in Germany to "insult" politicians - politicians on the left and right (including Merz) have filed criminal complaints over shit like this. |

That tends to be how most of those things end up, which makes me wonder why politicians keep filing them. They almost always get ridiculed for doing so, even in Germany.
