It's just flat out easy to hit and has the perfect amount of gear effect where toe shots that would hook hard left with the 430 LST just start right and have a gentle draw spin back to center. Loft for loft, launches highest of any low spin driver, with lowish spin, and spin consistency around the face is way better than the 430 Max or LST. 430 10k was similarly great at keeping spin consistent, but the weird flattened out footprint with a shallow face made it awkward to swing IME.
I do find the 430 LST slightly faster and lower spin on perfect strikes, but the 440 LST is straighter and more forgiving and spin doesn't spike up as much on low or heel strikes. |
