Since I started using my e-bike to run one-person errands on nice days, I have lost 10-15 pounds and saved a significant amount of money on gas. Then you can go see your friends on rainy days, too. But if they can't, I think seeing friends via e-bike is healthier than sitting in front of your phone.

Large companies/F500s in the area have gotten major incentives thrown at them to move into the city and they all unanimously have been like, nah we're good. of course the city is run by dems. A regular bike would be better for fitness, but it's also significantly slower, particularly if you have to go up hills, and I don't always have an hour to burn to get to the dentist's office and back. But an e-bike is at worst only slightly slower than driving. Sometimes it is actually faster if traffic is heavy or parking is limited. Not sure where these fucking parents are that are buying a 10 year old a motorcycle that goes 45 mph, but the school / police are too wussy to just impound them even though they acknowledge its completely illegal for a 12 year old to ride one on public roads unlicensed and uninsured.
