Any credited advice re: Saving Cash v. Living It Up in late 20's/early 30s?

I like this idea and if I maintain my budget and lifestyle I can save almost 2k a month with a 3.8k take home. I just don't know if that's worth it though.
I pay 1k in rent each month, it's tough making a decision on whether I should cop a studio for 1.5k a month or just stay with roommates, save aggressively and cop a condo in the next 2-3 years.
For example I feel like girls judge me based on having roommates etc, and copping a 180 GF is important, especially as I get into late 20's and the 180 girls at locked down.

it's not if you are intelligent/upwardly mobile. i had the same experience. every time you move up the socioeconomic ladder and your income/wealth/whjatever goes up significantly, your prior scrimping and saving becomes almsot inconsequential. it's like struggling to save $5 in high school before you get a real job, then all the $5s you saved mean very little
my first job making $30k i scrimped and saved, and now making a lot more than that all the money i saved then was pretty chump change
at some point you do hit a cap, but until then all the saving you do in prior life stages is compeltely overshadwoed as soon as you level up

Live it up. I only see two scenarios for our future.
(a) complete overhaul of society, so your savings are meaningless.
(b) this world is a festering TTT, and killself is the best option.

You do want to enjoy yourself somewhere in the middle.
Your life is as valuable towards the end: your cock stops working, you lose your hair, you lose your hearing, social groups wither away, etc... Many experiences are only truly available to the young.
Having said that, I don't have an answer. I need to live like a pauper if I ever want to buy real estate. Or never have kids. It marry well. Or Both.
Edit: Adam Carolla talks about not having health insurance or even modest savings in his late twenties, with no family to fall back on. He figured he'd either make it or he wouldn't. He disdained the modestly confortable and soul crushing middle. I tend to agree with this perspective. This is why fed gov jobs should be avoided

Sock away as much as you can and have it invested in a diversified portfolio. When you start you'll need to put most of your savings in a high yield bank account (there are banks offering 1.1% money market accounts) until you have enough of a cushion to start buying index funds. Once you hit the 20k mark invest 10k of it in 3 vanguard index funds (one should be the s&p 500; continue to invest most of your savings in the portfolio). Max out your 401k and Ira if you can. Live as frugally as possible, with the exception of one nice (well-fitted and tailored) suit and dress shoes. Keep your housing costs as low as possible. Don't worry about the commute. Make your own sandwiches at home for lunch. Learn to make pasta or rice and beans for dinner (I just saved you $500 a month). Eat whatever free food is offered in the office. Don't join a gym (long walks and pushups are sufficient).
When you're older you'll chuckle as everyone around bitches and whines about how hard it is to "make it" now. They'll all be loaded with debt, asking their parents for handouts, and enduring a financial stress that will eat away at their marriage/relationship.

i'd say this:
when fresh out of school, you can literally live like a poor grad student and still have as much fun as ever. you don't need to be fancy. you can't really win the fancy race in terms of golddigger chicks anyway. so try to save your money. rent, food, transportation and maybe travel are the big expenses. I'd say get roommates, save as much as possible on solo meals and have some left to splurge on dates or out. don't be cheap with others around to judge you. travel while young on those kinds of trips that you can do cheaply and best when young anyway: hostel style backpacking; national park camping; road trips between domestic cities.
so please live it up as much as possible, but as a young person you have a built in excuse to do so in a carefree, young way. don't try to chase some kind of ideal of a baller.

What's ur goal? Whatever it is, work towards that, bc that's what u'll end up doing anyways. If you want to retire early, I guess start saving now.
What happened to the Bulgarian? Get a chick that is down to earth and that u find attractive. It's 180.
