The winter break. I spent it in DC staying at my family friend's house. You know, to try to forget. Originally, I planned to visit all the wonderful museums and spend time at other cultural venues. Unfortunately, the house owner left for a few weeks, leaving me completely and utterly defenseless. That's when I became a victim yet again.

At the metro station, I asked for directions and was pulled in into a trap of a conversation with this good looking Eastern Euro mother and her 18 y.o. tennis-paying daughter. I asked about museums, said I was visiting, new in town and such. Little did I know my naivete was about to hurt me yet again. Things were not well, not normal in that family. I should have listened to my inner voice telling me to RUN. But I did not. They invited me for dinner the next day. It went well, was very civilized. But the day after I learned that sexual predators start young. The daughter called me, "I had a fight with my mom", she said, "I ran away", she said, "can I come stay with you?" I thought, why not, there was a spare room in the house. Little did I know, it was about to get victimized again. An abuser and rapist was about to move in, make herself comfortable, use me, as if I was an object, a toy.
