That said, Turkey is pretty flavorless if you don’t have someone capable preparing it, and even prepared well it’s basically a vehicle for gravy. But once you’ve had really bad roast turkey prepared by someone who sucks at Thanksgiving it’s easy to appreciate a perfectly roasted (or better yet smoked or fried) turkey that’s been seasoned well.
