But this clip really underscores why this format was always so stupid and tailored to midwit brains and attention spans. They hit at least 5 different useful topics to explore and have to drop them and rush on to the next thing and there’s some dumb clock on the whole discussion. It’s annoying in the same way that Policy Debate is annoying and stupid ie a bad argument delivered in the cadence of the micromachines VO guy is a “point” when not refuted, even if the “loser” in the debate made one actual good point that refutes 8 of the “points” that the winners made.
