The engine on the Crosstrek is literally caulked together. At the 10-12 year mark the caulk dries out and cracks and the engine dies.

Honda and BMW are the only motorcycles I would consider owning, and I'd probably go with BMW. Their stick shifts feel nice to drive too. I like Honda sticks better in general, but the M5 is probably nicest stick shift I've ever driven. As for Audi, I think they have the best AWD system, with Subaru a close second. I don't expect them to stand out in any other way, and as far as I can tell they never have.
I also think Mercedes makes some quality shit. I especially like their diesels, which you cannot get in the USA any longer unless you're getting a Dodge Sprinter. Even used, there are issues with the Bluetechs. If I had to pick one car to drive for the rest of my life it could be a 300D and run biodiesel as needed. You can also run biodiesel in pre-1986 diesel Land Cruisers with some mods. |
