now there are 990000k Games in your Backlog and intellectually dishonest shitheads like cowshit will dismiss them all because of some recondite preference for a very specific kind of Japanese dynamic that hasn't been around since 1999 and every trailer for a new game has an endless comment stream of spittle-specked Nerd rage tearing it apart for every little perceived flaw, imperfection, or lack of verisimilitude. The Game is Dead a year and a half before it even releases or anyone has played it.
Sometimes you just have to take a deep breath, drown out the noise, make a nice cuppa tea and Play the Game. |

There are more PS1 JRPGs than grains of sand on a beach. The thing is, the advancement of tech caused them to fall by the wayside a bit. Now that the tech has all but stopped advancing in terms of graphics/performance, games “stick” in the backlog forever since they never become truly irrelevant. And the internet doesn’t let you forget it exists. I didn’t play Chrono Trigger until like 2003. I knew it existed but it didn’t nag at me. Now it feels like the Kool aide guy is about to shotgun my door demanding I finish RDR2 or something.
Btw my backlog is mental. I don’t actually buy games and not play them. Only Consoomers do that. “Zomg steam sale!” lol all western games fall to $5 eventually. |
