Democrat Abdul El-Sayed is leading Republican Mike Rogers by about 6 percentage points in Michigan's U.S. Senate race, as a new statewide survey finds that voters ranked improving the economy as a top factor in their choice.
El-Sayed pulled about 51.4% of support in The Detroit News/WDIV-TV (Channel 4) poll of 600 likely voters, while Rogers had 45.1%, with 3.6% of voters still undecided, with less than a week to go in one of the most costly, bruising and closely watched Senate midterm contests nationwide. |
