Date: May 25th, 2025 11:00 AM Author: cracking pearl rigor looking for some advice here. my 24 y/o son is dead set on moving to china to teach english, but here’s the thing — he’s not into teaching at all. he just wants to live in china for a while and sees this as the easiest way in.
he’s got a solid degree and could land a good job here in the US, but hasn’t really tried. he doesn’t speak mandarin, doesn’t have much of a plan, and kind of brushes off any concerns with “i just want to try something different.”
i’m all for travel and gaining life experience, but i worry he’s avoiding real career steps and might end up stuck or coming back with less momentum. anyone else deal with something like this? am i overthinking it? |

I dont think teaching Engrish is that easy in China anymore, they cracked down on the dumbazz Birdshit teachers and it doesnt seem ppl even care that much abt learning Engrish anymore since China is most powerful country now
It sounds like he will fail but he might as well try, wont furking kill him and better than becoming a methhead in US like his dad |
