Anyway, yes, if you have common interests you don't have to try so hard to relate to one another. For example my buddy married a woman who loves sports and they watch college football all day Saturday and NFL all day Sunday. They seem to hate each other but for 48 hours every weekend they sit there and watch sports. Seems to work somehow. |

Promo sucks for artists because it's not natural to a lot of creatives to be a big social media shill for themselves. But there's never been more potential avenues to fame. I think one method is a lot of people start with writing fanfics, poasting a lot on Reddit. Just doing 1 chapter of a story and seeing if it catches on.
I think with Pensive it was incredibly dumb to spend time on a full length novel when there was no interest in even the first chapter. It's probably good for your writing skills long term but you have to build up a profile first. You're unlikely to get that many people to read an entire book off the bat. See if you can generate interest in shorter works and build up a following. Kind of like how a band releases a single before making an album.
Anyway, you got this. I'm sure your book is above average and below average people make it all the time for reasons unknown. |
