Kooky AF movie
I think people who get into what Holmes knew or didn't know etc. are missing the point which is that the movie is about the difficulty of constructing and maintaining truth and meaning even with theoretically good intentions let alone in a context of conflict.

the whole movie was like an xo meetup
Very Leiter-esque "not scholarship" moment when Billy mentioned that Meghan and Harry got $$$ for their Netflix documentary and Lance Oppenheim shouted "that's not a real documentary"
it made me think more than i expected but less than i hoped. i like nathan fielder, and i think he did a good job keeping it intense and uncomfortable with the extreme close-ups, the awkward stares, and the bizarre follow-up questions. but i don't think he really uncovered any deep, dark secrets, other than that EH does seem like someone with a lot of trauma. the way that she and her sleazy baby daddy operate together is neither surprising nor particularly complicated. she owes restitution, so they let him handle all the business matters. the story revealed this as if it were shocking, simply because they didn't say it explicitly.
what i think i enjoyed more was where he brought in amanda seyfried to act things out. started to feel a little more meta/fielder-esque.
i also thought the title of the movie was clever and deeper than i did at first. you can see everything because even what you couldn't see, you could see thanks to amanda.
agreed it wasn't shocking especially since it's the same thing she did with Sunny to some extent, keeping her hands clean of certain things / maintaining plausible deniability, but it was cool to see it up close. they're both batshit insane and probably sociopaths or psychopaths imo, and it's kinda crazy that they (or at least she) thought "radical transparency" would HELP their cause when they're so clearly unwell

Agree with the point about the dynamic between her and Billy being at least partially for legal convenience; same too with some of her hedging around what she would say or wouldn’t say about the company etc (at least at the time there were ongoing legal proceedings etc)
I thought it did a good job of making the point that reality and everything is constructed and subjective in a good way
