yup the only reason why this hasn't happened already, like it has in every other industry, is because AI is a brand new technology and so there is actual legitimate intra-industry competition
basically every single other "industry" in the modern world is a cabal with de facto price fixing and consumers have zero recourse except to pay the inflated rents
