It's a huge testament to Nintendo that all that shit still not only works, but is actually really fun and playable.

Trying to replay anything on Playstation 1 is a headache inducing disaster.

the most amazing thing are the NES and SNES controllers. These things can be 40 years old, played for thousands of hours, slammed on the floor repeatedly by kids, etc and they usually still work fine

The SNES was a tank overall.

Same for Genesis controllers which were also used as blunt weapons to boot.

These all have their uses.

PS2 has BC but the whole system is finicky maybe best to keep PS1 for PS1 Titles. Sure PS3 plays them but it’s Emulated and not authentic imho

Your PS3 probably isn’t BC with PS2.

Imho hardware will never be reproduced. Games are overvalued and can be copied onto a flashcart. Hardware has value irl but little value when you try to sell it. Vice-versa for Games.

Only if you still have peripherals for games that don't exist anymore

Xbox 360 - still have the race wheels and pedals

Xbox One - still have rock band and GH4 instruments
