So are people who eat mangos:
"The cuisines where mango is especially culturally prominent are roughly:
South Asia — especially India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. This is the mango’s historic heartland. It appears in an unusually wide range of forms: ripe mango eaten on its own, aamras, mango lassi, chutneys, pickles, green-mango relishes, drinks like aam panna, desserts, candies, and dried preparations. India alone has a huge number of famous cultivars such as Alphonso, Kesar, Dasheri and Langra. Many major commercial cultivars worldwide ultimately have Indian ancestry.
Southeast Asia — particularly the Philippines and Thailand, but also Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and Malaysia. Mango is extremely everyday here, including unripe mango, which is important in a way Americans sometimes don't appreciate. Thailand has green-mango salads and mango sticky rice; Filipinos eat green mango with bagoong as well as ripe mangoes, juices, shakes, dried mango and desserts. The Philippines has its own distinctive mango diversity, most famously the Carabao/Manila mango, along with Pico and other local types.
Mexico and Central America. Mango has become thoroughly integrated into the fruit culture: mango with chile, lime and salt, chamoy, fruit cups, aguas frescas, paletas, candies, nectars, licuados and salsas. Mexico also developed important local mango populations and cultivars such as Ataulfo and Manila types.
The Caribbean and tropical South America. Mango is very common as fresh fruit and in juices, nectars, batidos, preserves, desserts, hot sauces and chutneys. Jamaica, Haiti and Trinidad, for example, have long-established local cultivars; FAO lists cultivars such as Jamaican Bombay Green, Haitian Madame Francis and Trinidadian Julie."
