Featuring one of John Grisham’s most colorful, outrageous, and vividly drawn characters yet, Shitlaw Guru showcases the master of the legal thriller at his very best.
“Terrific . . . inventive . . . Grisham still makes it look easy.”
—Maureen Cohen, The Washington Post
On the right side of the law—sort of—Shitlaw Guru (his legal name) is not your typical street lawyer. His office is a child's dream, complete with arcade, snack bar, a soda fountain, a fridge stocked with string cheese, and comfy beanbag chairs. He has no firm, he calls all his employees his family. He drinks Capri Sun and carries a laser tag gun. He defends people other lawyers won’t go near: a drug-addled, tattooed porn star; a femboy cruise ship employee; a literal El Salvadoran MS13 illegal whose car was dented by an elderly woman trying to parallel park. Why these clients? Because Shitlaw Guru believes everyone is entitled to a fair trial—even if he has to bend the law to secure one.

Is that one The Street Lawyer?
I think I read these:
A Time to Kill
The Client
The Firm
The Testament
The Street Lawyer
The Rainmaker
The Rooster Bar
The Pelican Brief
The Partner
I always like The Partner for some reason. I think it was the guy losing it, gaining a shit ton of weight, and then faking his own death. Something about that character stuck with me.
