“How much money do you have?”
“Not very much.”
“Okay.”

Hey cons, since you're so good at math, how is it possible for the Japanese government to generate trillions based on pension payments made to Japanese people by the Japanese government? Wouldn't that require the Japanese government to have had at least that much money to pay to pensioners BEFORE pensioners bought the bonds?
I'll draw a timeline to help you with the math:
One March 1, Nippon pays Takashi $1000 pension --> on March 2 (assuming it's not a holiday), Takashi goes to the post office and "lends" $1000 to Nippon --> On March 3, due to Takashi's March 2 bailout, Nippon is richer than it was on March 1.
