1. Spend 10k on tuition

2. Take 2k Lifetime Learning Credit

3. Take out 20.5k in unsubsidized loans

4. Consolidate the loan once fully disbursed

5. Max out retirement contributions in one month and cop $0 paystub

6. Go on SAVE plan on consolidated loan while still in school

Dear friend, sounds promising, but what is the goal?

You also cannot go on SAVE while in school

Goal is to get 10 year PSLF while accruing minimum interest so I can pay it all off if it makes sense.

I know you can't repay an in-school status loan, but can't you consolidate the loan then go on SAVE while in school?

Do you mean to say it's not worth it if I plan on getting employment at 'Biglaw' and working 80 hour weeks, etc?

You forgot the part where you scam SAVE payment calculations by dumping 70% of one paycheck into 401k and using the resulting income calculations to enjoy a de minimis payment.

180. The SAVE program is even easier to do this, because if you get married you no longer have to include spouse income
