So instead i have like an assortment of brothers. Somewhere along the way i got a deal on an HP commercial b/w printer and a canon business color laser printer.
Both are SPS and never work the way they're supposed to, are constantly disconnecting, etc. By contrast the Brothers work mostly flawless despite their 1980 interfaces and buggy shit when you're setting them up. However, once they're up and running they work well.
What's insane is that we can connect to tvs, speakers, washing machines, etc with our phones and computers seamlessly but printers still struggle with the most basic of wifi printing. |

Since then I have printed tens of thousands of pages with hardly any issues at all. I buy $30 ink cartridges for it on amazon that go for like 5-10,000 pages or something. I replaced a super old Brother printer (which worked perfectly for years) with an expensive HP shitbox that never works correctly.
HP also somehow figured out a way to turn literal printing into a subscription service and they push their scam service on you HARD. |
