I would expect something along the lines of the Soviet Union, where the central gov collapsed and each of its states became individual nations. Even if state government & law enforcement manage to figure out how to band up and create a Red America vs Blue America, good luck figuring out the logistics of industries. Both sides hold control over industries critical to living in the 21st century
There is far too much contempt on each side towards the other for any agreed upon secession to go smoothly. Should secession be attempted, it’s far more likely to be messy and probably bloody. Best case & least bloodiest scenario is that states become individual nations |
