Going to Jeju Island in S. Korea this summer

I don't want to just be stuck sitting around my inlaws place after spending $10K to ship everybody over there, so we are also going to Jeju-do for a few days. I have never been. What should I expect? Koreans always sort of make fun of it, like, "Yeah, Jejo-do for a honeymoon! Are you poor?" and things like that. They make fun of it on Squid Games even. Looks nice though. If you are into food, there is one kbbq spot you absolutely should NOT miss: sukseongdo. It's arguably the best pork kbbq place in the whole world, serving the jeju native black pig that's specially aged. Get there early, like 4:30, because there's always 2 hour+ wait after 5 |
