Date: April 22nd, 2010 6:25 AM Author: Cruel-hearted vibrant school cr. i know of lathameds who've been hired by biglaw or midlaw over the past 6 months and i know unemployed 09 grads who found decent midlaw jobs just recently. especially with in house counsel not wanting to waste money on untrained first years the current jobless and others who are looking to trade up are going to be a real problem for the class of 2012. the same thing happened after the early 90s recession which was less severe, so this time it should be much worse.
and to think, if these people had just delayed law school a few years their prospects would be much better. it's probably for the best that good firms won't be hiring this class of students with poor judgment. |

the class of 2012 is basically made up of the worst of the law school applicant pool. the smart people either deferred enrollment or are waiting to apply. firms should avoid the class of 2012 like the plague. |
