Even Haiti paid France dearly for their freedom. Slaveholders were clearly evil so it's good that bad things happened to some of them and a lot of the people who rooted for them.
Obviously, Lincoln was undisputably the bad guy if you're the kind of person who supports, e.g., Palestine ("just because they own slaves doesn't mean they deserve to be killed en masse!"). I'm just a bit of a moralist. |
