Mordecai Molozhanov, 32, a Ukrainian citizen, suffered severe head injuries and remains in critical but stable condition in Kyiv’s Emergency Hospital after he and a friend were attacked near Mandarin Plaza late on Aug. 28 by a group of bottle-wielding Ukrainian youths.
Molozhanov and a friend, both students of the Yeshiva All-Ukrainian Judaic Academy, were returning to Kyiv’s Central Synagogue from Furshet supermarket in Mandarin Plaza at about 11 p.m. on Aug. 28 when a group of young Ukrainians started throwing empty beer bottles at them, police said. |
