SGOV and USFR have basically no price risk but the distributions can vary a lot and quickly.

Right now all medium and long term bond fund are in the toilet, it may be time to dip into something like TLT. Broad market bond funds like BND or SCHZ are all trash though.

Also if you want something a bit different check out BOXX. It uses box options to generate T-bill like returns, but the share prices just increases instead of paying a distribution. But I don't quite understand the risk in an extreme market event.

risk is with the clearing house. however, if the clearing house goes under, the entire options market is fucked. it's too systematically important to fail.

the other risk is somehow they fuck up operationally. but it's remote.
