Date: May 1st, 2025 2:10 AM Author: Cream institution it's actually quite outdated for such a high profile museum, and it feels it. but precisely for that reason it still has halls full of human anthropology exhibits that would never fly today. depicts cultures unapologetically and with refreshing honesty in terms of how 20th century white people would have viewed them. if the museum is ever updated that shit will be unceremoniously discarded into the hudson by whichever academics they tap to "modernize" it (and some sections have already been cancelled by woke). makes you lament the loss of genuine cultural diversity to global monoculture, foreign peoples might as well have been aliens a century ago.
