high jewish IQ arose during the middle ages when ashkenazi jews were given the exclusive role as money lenders; successful money lenders had much higher fertility rates than other jews, so over time this resulted in a very specific high verbal IQ.
cochran and harpending discuss this process in detail in "the 10,000 year explosion" looking at genetic markers.
sephardic and mizrahi jews did not have the same unusual societal pressures or exclusive role as money lenders and have the same IQ as the surrounding populations. |
