i miss the golden age when the mix included way more normal people, people cammed up, meet up, etc. as the proportion of bitter losers increases and well-adjusted people spend less time online it creates a vicious cycle where more well-adjusted people leave, increasing the % of bitter losers, etc.
sometimes it feels like i live in a completely different world than these people. i guess i do since i live irl. but man the constant consuela-tier doomer shit is annoying. especially when they are like "trust me, i know these things!" about how shitty everything is but when i go hang out with my friends, neighbors, etc. and everything is pretty chill and pleasant. |

here's how my last weekend went:
saturday: spent most of the day doing some outside tasks. multiple neighbors stopped by to say hi or just wave as they walked past. i went to the farmer's market and chatted with some friendly folks (see thread above). then i went on a hike with my dogs and other chatted with som more friendly folks. a hot chick at the dog park cuddled up with my dog and flirted with me. then my gf came over and we had cocktails outside and pleasant conversations with several people. then we went home and she enthusiastically sucked and fucked me.
sunday: went to my sister's place to make her and my mother brunch. we had a great time drinking mimosas. my sister is great friends with one of her neighbors and she stopped by and we wound up going to her house to hang for a bit. i played yard games with her husband, a black guy i routinely call toby and drop hard rs around. then i went home and my gf was there waiting for me. she had thrifted me some cool accessories as a nice surprise. then she enthusiastically sucked and fucked me.
i ran into multiple strangers, acquittances, friends, and family and every interaction was great. the weather was gorgeous, everyone was happy and enjoying the season of renewal.

Some guy thought I stole is parking spot (there were tons, and he wasn't anywhere close when I parked), so he was screaming at me from his car and honking like crazy while I walked from the parking lot, driving with his bumper a few inches from my leg. In the store, there was someone standing with their cart on front of the burger buns scrolling social media or something. I said, "excuse me, just need to grab some buns" and they told me to fuck off. When I went to pay, someone else pushed in line in front of me and got in my face screaming. On the drive home, someone ran a stop sign and almost hit me, then followed me in their car, screaming and honking.
