About eight minutes after ordering, the Journal pulled forward to grab a drink caddie and bag of food adorned with the CosMc’s logo. A reporter and photographer sampled the $3.79 mixed bag of McPops, a set of three round doughnuts injected with apple cinnamon, hazelnut and cookie butter filling. The Creamy Avocado Tomatillo Sandwich had a brioche-inspired bun and subtle flavor.
CosMc’s Turmeric Spiced Latte was zippy and strikingly yellow. The bright Tropical Spiceade packed a walloping sour punch and a crunch of dried dragonfruit bits. The Churro Frappé was creamy and sweet, though the cinnamon was hard to detect.
After escaping the line and sipping on drinks, the Journal made a beeline for a bathroom at a neighboring Panera Bread. Back at CosMc’s, the line had grown longer. |
