Why was "blowing on" NES Titles a thing, but never any other cartridge Consoles?

Master System, Genesis, Atari, SNES, N64 - people simply never "blew" on the cartridge connectors to make it "work." Only on the NES. And even on the NES it was often pantomime flame.
But why? Why was the NES the only Console where we were supposed to do this?

There's a lot of scholarship on this. The front loading mechanism of the NES didn't work as well as top loading consoles (all the others).
Nintendo wanted to make their console look less like a video game system and more like a home "entertainment system" like a VCR so as not to be associated with older crappier systems. But it had the effect of making the connection looser and shittier.

Snes was much better constructed. Genesis ppl either broke/lost their games or gave them to a friend who never returned it.
