I can’t express to you how much I hate eating out now.

Decide to go to the range and hit up New Trendy Restaurant in that area, 30 minutes away. Knew it was going to be a pain in the ass considering it’s a weekend, so I get on the freeway and try to call them to place an order for when I’m done with the range. Guess what, there is no number published anywhere. It feels intentional. Just order now links that take you to DoorDash, UberEats, Postmates. Notice price on these platforms is more than menu on yelp, annoyed but decide to push on. DoorDash says it’s open, the others say it’s closed. So I exit the freeway, now 20 minutes from house. Find a shawarma truck, it’s fucking $18 for a sandwich off a food truck, decide to go for it. Get there, it’s not there even though it said it was open online. Pivot to Mexican, try to hit up spot in the area—also fucking closed despite saying it’s open. Start driving home and stop at another truck, pay for $15 burrito and come home.
It’s just not fucking worth it. Wife and I cook very well which makes it even less enticing. I just thought I’d have a night out tonight. Never again |
