Alright, here's the deal. I just received an email from Andy Cornblatt:

Dear Lemmiwinks,

In response to several enquiries, I wanted to send you a quick update. Although we are still processing tuition deposits, we do NOT anticipate having any openings in the part time program at this time. As the summer progresses, it’s possible that we may have openings, especially after our second deposit due the first week of June. If you are traveling or moving during the summer, please make sure to update us when your contact information changes.

Best,

Andy Cornblatt

Assistant Dean of Admissions

Georgetown University Law Center

So, for all of us PT'ers out there it doesn't look promising. At least I can now relax since I won't hear anything until June at the earliest. I guess it's time to order my GW Law T-Shirt.

Me neither. In fact, I would almost be content if I had just been rejected from GULC to begin with. The only reason I would have thought about taking a GULC offer is for the prestige and job opportunities.

I know I'll be much happier at GW. It really has everything I'm looking for. The atmosphere at GW is ten times better than at GULC.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. I liked GULC when I visited, but I liked GW's atmosphere, students, and location a lot better. I've been kind of nervous after I saw mandy get in off the PWL. I didn't want to have to make the gut feeling vs. prestige decision. Now I think I can really start getting excited about GW.

My hope for GULC is being slowly deflated. However, isn't it odd that someone (mandy?) on this board got off the GULC waitlist for PT on Friday? Maybe they really do have a few spaces....

Dear LawNYC,

I just wanted to send you a quick update to let you know that we’ve received several responses to our e-mail. We are still processing tuition deposits and determining how many spaces we may have. I hope to be able to send you an e-mail update on May 17th.

Yeah, sorry to hear about it. I know you really want to go there. I bet you a few spots will open up after the June deposit deadline. With your numbers and your persistance I'm sure that you're at the top of their list.

It's interesting, according to LSN no one has been admitted off of the waitlist for PT. Maybe Mandy was the only person?

Ugh. Sorry :( That blows. There will be people who decline the WL spots though and maybe a few people will be pulled off other waitlists prior to the next deposit deadline.

And you always have Chicago next year. Not a shabby backup.

True. maybe I'll re-take the LSAT after Chicago and re-apply (as fun as that sounds)....

Until then, I'll hold on to the small glimmer of hope that some waitlist people will decline and open up some spots in June.....

Georgetown won't be getting any more money from me---what did I do to deserve this?
