I called a little before noon and she said she was on her way to brunch, but would come at 3. then she calls a little before 3 (I assumed she was calling bc she was at my building) and says she has to walk a dog downtown at 5.
wtf? I'm pissed because I could have made plans with someone else. she should've just said the first time if she was too busy or didn't want to come. we've been friends for a million years too. |

but today I called and told her I was really depressed, needed to be around other people, etc., and she said she'd come at 3, and then I sat around and waited.
I'm so humiliated that I haven't managed to make better friends. |

and it's one thing to flake out and cancel plans to go to a movie at the last minute (which she does a lot --and she barely works and has no commitments/relationships). it's another thing to say you'll do something important and then flake. |
