Sounds like the concern now is to let the broken ribs heal and there is a risk that if he moves suddenly or the wrong way, they won't heal right. After a ton of PT she's better but it took a lot. Because they really crank you open when they split your chest open. |

Date: May 20th, 2025 6:50 PM Author: adventurous pontificating immigrant Update: they moved him up to the rehab floor last night around midnight Eastern Time and he called me on FaceTime, but I could only hear him, not see him.
I asked him where he was and he said home. I said no you aren't, you are in hospital and he insisted he was home. Turn on the camera I told him.
He said, "I don't think I'm going to make it, bud," and my heart skipped a beat.
"What do you mean," I asked him.
"They kidnapped me!" he said and then I heard a nurse telling him to press the green button to turn on the camera.
That's when I said, "See, you ARE in the hospital. No one is kidnapping you, dad," and he goes, "Ah, they got me all drugged up."
"Enjoy it while you can," I told him and told him he could call me anytime. We spoke again today, he was still out of it. |
