One of our clients (an old Hispanic man) was an Uber driver. He picked up two passengers in Glendale. A few blocks after picking them up, a black SUV with tinted windows struck the vehicle. He then starts to chase after the SUV to try to identify the car to report to police and the passengers yell at him to stop.
Both of the passengers have 10+ prior personal injury claims and made a claim against the Uber insurance of my client’s vehicle. Uber is investigating it as a staged fraud from the passengers and the hidden third driver. Uber has 1 million policies for passengers. |

Date: June 18th, 2025 8:43 PM Author: Boyish field i am not going to assist anyone monitoring this thread but very similar setups to CSLG's mill have been investigated and taken down in other states, with a range of punitive consequences depending on available state enforcement means. directly at issue in one of the most on the nose examples was the pipelining of clients to 'treatment' exactly as CSLG needs for his operation. the 'providers' always roll immediately when the AG's subpoenas start showing up. in once case they had enough for a bar discipline referral that i doubt CSLG would care about but the usual wrap-up seems to be fined into oblivion through an admin case and then the shop folds for fear of continued oversight. learned about this at a conference presentation a few months ago.
