i feel basically certain that i failed. got sub-100 on the barbri practice mbe and then got too busy learning state law at the end to do more than a few sets of topic specific questions, and one multi-topic set. didnt touch any of the 100q mpq2s and whatnot...

the real thing felt twice as bad as the midsummer practice. i spend 2-4hrs a day pining over this.

No, there is no way I failed that thing. Sure, I didn't know jack shit about proxies and flunked the property question. And I didn't finish the MPT. But at least my answers were coherently written in English, and I knew some law.

If that's not enough to pass the bar exam, then the bar exam is seriously much more difficult than they make it out to be, and TTT's are much smarter than they are given credit for.

I'm mainly worried about the MBE - my sentiments are the same as yours regarding the NY day.

The MBE is the area I am shocked the TTT's can handle. That was a ton of reading, and I felt the questions were extremely difficult - if someone couldn't break 160 on the lsat, i dont understand how they could even have a shot at this year's MBE.

Because the MBE doesn't test any type of logic or reasoning ability. It's strictly memorization.

Not a whole lot, though. I bet we could count the truly difficult questions on our hands and toes (ie. those that were ambiguous and required guesswork).

I mean, I'm a bit far removed from it all now and everything is hazy, so I might be misremembering. But a lot of the answers that I know I got wrong (and thought were hard during the exam) were very straightforward, I just didn't know the rule.

yeah but it was a lot of exception to the exception or just weird fact patterns that felt awkward. i felt like 50% of the questions were not in the conviser mini reviews.

Maybe I'm just in the minority then. I remember flipping through the CMR after the MBE (yeah, my bad) and seeing a lot of the "difficult" questions answered by a sentence.

Yea but how many people put stuff from the CMR in their outlines they used to prepare? Barbri explicitly stated to distill them down from lectures, not to make them longer.

While that's true to an extent, I'm not sure I totally agree. There's definitely some reasoning involved in the sense that the MBE requires you to pick the *best* answer, often where all of the answers are shitty, or all seem right.

I dominated the lsat, and will be lucky if i broke 100 on this thing.

I mean, yes, you're technically right. I'm just really surprised by that. Even if you make the argument that I didn't know enough law, I studied my ass off all summer. While I might not have done enough practice MBE questions, I filled my days with work, so it's not like I slacked- I genuinely felt like I didn't have the time for any additional MBE practice toward the end.

I just question how thousands of TTTs can outperform that, when I'm already working with T14 creds.

Well the thing is we ALL feel that way. No one feels confident after the bar exam. Additionally, there's the whole "You don't know all the law but you know enough to pass the bar."

We're all going to be fine, we probably all passed, and this is just us going through the freak-out period like everyone else.
