It's truly bizarre. You will see whites in the Americas who literally believe they have some kind of inextricable tie to the lands of the Americas.

At the same time, they feel literally zero affinity towards their actual European homelands. It's no less bizarre than how "Taiwanese" and "Hong Kong" people genuinely think they are a distinct race from "Chinese".

Even quotemos are acknowledging that I'm obviously right about this

Durr hurr yeah some guy who doesn't speak a word of Danish, has never been to Denmark, doesn't hold Danish citizenship, etc. should feel more affinity toward Denmark than toward the country where he has lived his entire life and where his family has lived literally since before the American Revolution, just because his last name is "Christensen"

Given that Christensen's ancestry is likely a mixture of Danish, Italian, Irish, Polish, and Ukrainian, it's a bit odd that you think Christensen should speak Danish rather than one of those other languages. Toward which of those five countries ought he to feel a closer affinity than he feels toward the United States? All of them? Lol

As for said "injuns, spics, niggers, and chinks," Christensen probably feels a much closer affinity toward other members of his ethnic group (American euromutts) than toward other ethnic groups such as African-Americans, Chinese, etc.

Not a Danish-history scholar. Was Danish emigration primarily driven by Danish guys being unable to find wives? Would love to hear from an MFE here

Also there are 5x as many Irish Americans as there are Irish. And Irish Americans have, in a very sneaky, almost Jewishesque manner, used America to 1) empower Ireland within Europe and 2) advance themselves as peers and even pull ahead of scandis, Germans basically everyone not legit WASP AND part of the multigenerational wealthy, natural resource driven aristocracy that captured nearly all of the economic and social benefits of the 19th century/pre trustbuster era. In addition to being over represented in prominent places throughout the U.S. government and media there are roughly 15 Irish American billionaires, all of whom made their fortunes within the last 50 years. That’s nothing compared to the Jewish Americans who are roughly 30% of the Forbes Top 100 and 25% of the 400. But the overwhelming success and attainment of the Irish Americans in the 20th century, especially relative to Protestant European immigrant groups, and while being the most difficult non-Protestant group to identify and distinguish from Protestants based on phenotype, is what has given meaning to a collective notion of a white identity in the U.S. (along with Jews and Italians enjoying their own versions of success and more limited degrees of assimilation). The concept was nonsensical prior to WW2, and most people would’ve thought of my parents as Irish or Ukrainian as they thought of themselves growing up, and their parents (my grandparents) spoke Gaelic/Ukrainian with their families at home. The fundamental reality is that Germans and scandis got absolutely styled on by Irish, Italians and most of all Jews since roughly the New Deal until present day in the U.S.
