They pretend they are Aryan, the Shah even changed name to Iran cause of that but DNA studies show they are only 10-20% Yamnaya DNA, same as northern Indians. Ironically Indians have more ancient Iranian farmer DNA than Iranians do and north Indians often have more Steppe DNA. And of course Hindus still practice a Vedic religion unlike Iranians. The more "white" Iranians likely have more northern DNA like Turk or some other weird shit they arent even real Persians.
So this entire culture is wildly bullshit and based on some historical garbage. They also are so proud of the Persian Empire and Cyrus the Great and all this bullshit but wtf does this matter when the country is total garbage now and the Mullahs dont even really like that shit
